Understanding Depression?

Depression is more than feeling sad after a difficult day. It can involve ongoing low mood, loss of interest, tiredness, hopelessness, changes in sleep or appetite, and difficulty completing everyday tasks.

Depression can look different from person to person. Someone may continue working, studying, or socialising while still struggling internally.

Depression is not a personal weakness, and support is available.
